2. The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector – Protective hand cream “Hemp”

I think this cream doesn’t need any special introduction. It’s loved for its properties and hated for its smell, I rather love it and rather like the smell, which can’t be said about my husband, he just turns away.
I like the packaging: both the iron tube and the cap. But I'm afraid that someday the tube will bend and a hole will appear
The composition is good: glycerin, oils, allantoin (according to the manufacturer, it softens and soothes), panthenol, silicone (some may not like it), vitamins A, E (most likely they are used as preservatives, but still better than parabens) .

The consistency of the cream is very thick, perhaps the thickest I have ever had. Quite oily (but “pleasantly oily”!) and it feels like it contains oils. When you start rubbing, the oils melt and the sensation is pleasant. Economical. During the day, the cream is too oily for me to work at the computer and with papers.

On the one hand, the cream is called “protective”, and I sometimes apply it before going outside. On the other hand, the manufacturer writes: “To enhance the effect of the cream, apply it at night and wear moisturizing gloves from The Body Shop” (replace with any gloves). This is how I apply it too (although I only read the manufacturer’s recommendation today), especially since the gloves will protect those around me from the smell. The cream nourishes well, and after using it my hands are soft and well-groomed.
In general, the cream is both protective and nourishing.
And now the minus that I noticed. Once I came from the street with chapped hands. I applied this cream. But the skin did not like it, it turned red and irritation appeared. I ran to wash it off. Maybe I should have been patient and it would have passed, I know this happens sometimes, but I didn’t wait. The cream definitely does not soothe the skin, although, as I noted above, the manufacturer writes that allantoin in the cream is designed to do just that.

3. Hand and nail cream Kamill Intensive

And this is my favorite cream. I’m already buying my third pack and will buy more. My mom and mother-in-law also like it.
An ordinary soft plastic tube with an opening lid (never broken, by the way). Volume 100 ml. The cream has an average consistency, white in color, and just a little oily. The smell is quite pleasant, herbal.
The peculiarity of the cream: I can apply it a lot, a lot, and it’s all absorbed! I like it. I apply it at night, in the morning my hands are moisturized, nourished, rested, ready for work and defense. I can also apply it during the day sometimes, but it’s a bit greasy.
Photo of the composition:

The composition may not be super-duper, but the cream suits me perfectly, so I don’t look too closely. The main thing is that it works. Moreover, the price is good. I am one of those who are not willing to pay more if there is no difference
However, I will also buy other creams, maybe I will find the perfect one!

Grade: 5
Price: 80-100 rub.
Testing period: 1.5 years

4. Children's cream Bella baby Happy natural care

I once bought this cream in a supermarket because of the small tube. The manufacturer is, so to speak, unexpected. But the cream turned out to be good! Here is a photo of the composition and manufacturer's description:

The cream is of normal consistency, neither thick nor runny, white in color. Not greasy, not oily. The smell is light, pleasant, unobtrusive. I use the cream during the day or before going outside, so I apply a small amount.

I really like this cream! He is somehow pleasant, gentle and “caring.” Softens, protects, cares. It just soothes the skin if it is irritated (unlike “hemp”). I tested this by accident: I once applied it to my armpits after epilation (although I know that it’s better not to smear it with anything). In just a few minutes the cream soothed the skin and was quickly absorbed. So for me this cream is “soothing”.
I will definitely buy more if I see it, the price is ridiculous.

Grade: 5
Price: 50 rub.
Testing period: 5 months.

5. Lush Lemony Flutter – “Lemon Sensation”

Also quite a famous product on Cosmetist. According to the manufacturer, this is a cuticle butter, but it can also be applied to other dry parts of the body. I use it for cuticles, sometimes I smear it on my hands when they are dry.
The smell is lemony, but “chemical”, strong. The consistency is thick, oily, slightly grainy. When applied to the skin, the oil begins to melt.

I only apply it at night. Overnight, the oil is completely absorbed, softens and nourishes the cuticle. Once I applied it during the day (using a cotton swab) and the oil was absorbed quickly, in less than half an hour! But the cuticle was very dry at that moment, the oil softened it perfectly. If I hadn’t forgotten to smear it every night, I think the effect would be excellent and my cuticle would look better.
On the one hand, oil is not so cheap, but on the other hand, it is consumed very economically.

Grade: 5
Price: 410 rub. (according to the price on the official website)
Testing period: more than a year

That's all, I hope I didn't bore you with the number of letters

Modern cosmetic products are quickly absorbed, perform several functions and are used at any time of the year. Not so long ago, moisturizing cream for the winter took a leading position among sales of products in this category for the skin of the face and hands. The well-known axiom that we moisturize the skin in the warm season and nourish it in the winter has ceased to be relevant.

Moisturizing and nourishing the epidermis are two important tasks that can be solved both separately and together. Also, do not forget that over the past decade the composition of publicly available and fairly inexpensive means has changed significantly.

Therefore, it is better to turn to cosmetologists for an answer; they will know exactly which cream to use in winter - nourishing or moisturizing. The specialist’s decision is influenced by the analysis of the following factors:

  1. Visual and hardware examination of the epidermis.
  2. The amount of time a person spends outside every day.
  3. The level of indoor air dryness at work and at home.
  4. Patient's age.
  5. The presence of chronic diseases that can have a direct impact on the condition of the skin.

Based on this, a decision is made on which cream to use in winter for dry, oily or combination skin.

Important: excess nutrients, as well as overhydration of the skin, lead to negative consequences. It loses its healthy appearance, areas of peeling and redness appear.

Variety of cream textures.

What is the difference when using a moisturizer and a nourishing cream?

When using a moisturizer in winter, additional moisture is delivered to the upper and deep layers of the epidermis. It is not advisable for women over 35 years of age to refuse these funds.

Aging skin performs its natural functions less well. It produces less hyaluronic acid, so it needs to be artificially delivered to the deep layers of the epidermis or stimulated for its additional production.

Also in winter it is necessary to provide additional nutrients and protection. Therefore, a nourishing cream for the winter usually contains fatty acids, vitamins D and E, and palmitic acid.

The skin receives additional protection from sudden temperature changes, frost, and gusts of wind. In the absence of it, the hands, face peel, and redness appears. It's difficult to get rid of this. Applying nutrients will help prevent the appearance of cosmetic defects.

What is the difference between winter cream and its summer counterpart?

Manufacturers of cosmetics have long divided their products into categories of different types. The substances offered differ:

  1. The type of effect on the skin is hydration, nutrition, elimination of defects, anti-aging.
  2. What period of the year are they intended for - off-season, winter, summer.
  3. Availability of additional protective functions. Moisturizing cream for the winter, like nourishing cream, may contain substances that prevent exposure to sunlight. Such products are intended for use in winter resorts.

You need to know what is included in the product by the manufacturer. The name often hides its multifunctional effects on the skin.

The main difference between the winter version of creams and those intended for use in the summer is the presence of a function of protection against frost, bad weather, and wind. They also have a denser texture. There are other differences:

  • Moisturizing cream for the winter, its nourishing analogue, after application to the skin creates an invisible protective film.
  • Exposure to frost reduces the secretion of the sebaceous glands. This leads to a decrease in elasticity. Products for the cold season compensate for this deficiency.
  • Frost reduces the rate of epidermal restoration at the cellular level. Therefore, all products are developed taking this disadvantage into account. They contain an increased amount of hyaluronic acid compared to their “summer” counterparts.

It turns out that it is impossible to give preference to the same product in the warm and cold seasons? Experts do not consider this statement to be completely true.

Protecting the skin of your face and hands correctly

Not long ago it was believed that moisturizers should not be used in winter. This will negatively affect your appearance. Now such consequences are only possible when using low-quality cosmetics.

Cosmetologists advise using a moisturizer in the morning in winter, before applying foundation. If the makeup base does not have a dense texture, you must apply a nourishing analogue at least 15-20 minutes before going outside.

Well-known manufacturers have long divided their product lines into summer, winter and anti-aging. Cosmetologists are often asked about what cream to use in winter for dry skin. In fact, only the first part of the question is relevant here.

Walking in nature or on the street during the cold season leads to a change in skin type on exposed areas of the body.

In fact, dryness appears in almost everyone who likes to walk or whose work involves being outside. What is needed at a particular moment: nutrition or hydration - the cosmetologist will tell you.

If there is a financial opportunity, it is better to purchase means of a dual type of influence - universal.

Delicate hand skin in winter needs special care, but not all representatives of the fair sex know how to use cosmetic products correctly. In fact, the most important thing is to choose a good cream and apply it every day. Do you know which product is ideal for winter, and how to find it among the huge number of different bottles and jars in a cosmetic store?

In this article you will find information about the ideal cream for the cold season, because it is very important that the skin of the hands remains protected during such a difficult period for the body. You can also familiarize yourself with the application rules.

With the onset of cold weather, almost all women face major signs of hypothermia on the skin of the hands:
- Redness
- Peeling
- Cracks
- Dryness
- Irritation.

Why do you need winter hand cream?

At first glance it seems that protect your hands You can only use gloves, but sometimes the skin just doesn’t have enough moisture. It is enough to choose a good one and apply it regularly, but it is also important to pay attention to the composition of the product. Many women believe that there can be one hand cream for both summer and winter, but this is a common mistake that causes epidermal cells to suffer.

What functions does winter cream perform?

1. Nutrition. During the winter season, the body lacks useful microelements, so many advise including more nuts, olive oil, and sea fish in your diet. It is also important to apply nourishing hand cream, which fills the cells with useful microelements.

2. Hydration. Due to the constant change in temperature and cold wind, the skin loses a lot of moisture, and it must be constantly actively restored. After applying winter cream, you should feel maximum comfort and receive hydration immediately. Do not forget that in the winter the room is heated, but this has a disadvantage, because the air becomes dry. By constantly moisturizing your hands with cream, you will protect your skin from dryness and restore the water balance inside the cells.

3. Repairing damaged cells. Often in the winter, your hands crack or develop tiny wounds that need to be healed quickly and safely. With the help of a good winter cream, you will speed up the process of cell renewal and give your hands youth and beauty.

4. Protection from wind and frost. Winter cream should perfectly protect against the icy wind, covering your hands with the thinnest film. If you apply a good winter cream, you will forget about dryness and tightness for a long time.

What to look for in a product?

- Silicone components. Many people say that this is an undesirable product in cosmetics. However, it perfectly envelops the skin, creating a protective film on the surface. This is a synthetic ingredient that is necessary especially in winter, because it is not absorbed, but remains on top. Frost and wind will not be scary for you, because the delicate skin of your hands is covered with an invisible layer of silicones.

- Vegetable oils. Creams that contain natural vegetable oils are more expensive, but you can be sure that you are applying the best to your skin. They perfectly nourish and moisturize, absorbing quite well not only into the upper layers of the epidermis.

- Allantoin. A healing ingredient that is ideal for daily use in winter, because many are faced with such troubles as cracks and small wounds. Allantoin begins to act immediately after applying the cream to the skin of your hands, and if you use the product before bed and put on gloves, you can get rid of the damage overnight. Always pay attention to the presence of this ingredient in winter cream, so as not to cause infection or cause irritation.

- Vitamins. To keep your hand skin well-groomed and beautiful during the winter season, you need to use a cream that contains various vitamins, because it is excellent nutrition. This way the cells will not age quickly, and their elasticity will also be maintained.

- Honey and wax. Ideal ingredients for winter. The wax lays on the skin as an invisible layer and protects it from wind and frost. Moisture does not evaporate too quickly and cracks do not appear. Honey perfectly nourishes and moisturizes, even dry skin becomes more elastic and soft after using a cream with this ingredient.

How to use hand cream in winter?

First of all take care about having several tubes of product in different places, so you won’t be lazy about applying it. First of all, make it a rule to use cream every time before going outside. This will prevent drying out, but you need to apply the cream at least 30 minutes before going out, otherwise you may get the opposite effect. Apply the cream with soft stroking movements, do not pull the skin or run your nails over it, so as not to cause micro-scratches.

A small tube with cream You should have it in your bag to refresh the product throughout the day. Don’t forget to also apply the cream before going to bed so that your cells are filled with beneficial moisture and vitamins at night.
