DIY case for on-ear headphones. DIY headphone cases: interesting ideas and step-by-step instructions

A headphone organizer is an indispensable thing that can easily be made at home. Very often, factory-made holder options turn out to be inconvenient or expensive. We have collected for you the best ideas and step-by-step master classes with photos and videos. With their help you will learn how to make a headphone case with your own hands.

In the article you will find several options for organizers: made of felt, leather, cardboard, clothespins, fabric and other materials. Choose the most beautiful one and get down to business: the process will not take much time.

Leather

One of the easiest ways to make a headphone holder with your own hands is to make it in the form of a clip. A very convenient and beautiful organizer is made from a piece of leather.

We will need:

  • leather material 2 colors;
  • button;
  • Super glue;
  • tools.

It is not necessary to use genuine leather. You may well choose leatherette or suede for your case. A very thick fabric will also work.

Cut out an oval piece 6-8 cm long from a material of one color. You need to make a decor from a material of a different color. Do it as in the photo - in the form of leaking drops. Glue with superglue. Trim off excess around the edges. Install the button using a screwdriver and hammer.

If there is no button, you can make a button hole in the headphone clip. It's less convenient, but still better than confusing headphones. You can also replace the button with hooks or elastic.

The simple and compact headphone clip is easy to carry in your pocket or bag. It is easy to store cords in it.

Cardboard

A headphone organizer made of cardboard is a simple solution, and even a schoolchild can make it with his own hands. The materials are elementary, so is the technology. Take 10-15 minutes now to avoid the problem of tangled wires.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • any picture (approximately 3x4 cm);
  • clip (button, button).

Fold the rectangular cardboard in half. The image on it must be drawn on both sides. Although it would be easier to just glue it. You can even use ready-made stickers or just beautiful material.

The cardboard organizer does not require tight clamps. It is enough to sew a button and an elastic band to it. You can also use a button or thin braid.

Watch this simple video master class, in which the author explains in detail how to make unusual organizers for headphones with your own hands. They look much more interesting than the factory ones. The work will not take up much of your time.

It’s easy to repeat these step-by-step instructions, and you can come up with many more headphone holders. Select the pictures and go ahead! Cardboard organizers are easy to make from scratch as they wear out. So, if desired, the clamps can be changed at least every week.

Felt

Perhaps the most beautiful headphone cases can be made from felt. They are easy to sew, and you can choose any character as decoration. Children and teenagers may like the animal holders, while adults may like the quiet and comfortable covers.

We will need:

  • felt;
  • pattern;
  • button;
  • any decor;
  • Super glue.

You can find interesting stencils for felt covers for headphones on our website in the appropriate section. Take kittens, hearts, flowers - whatever.

Felt can be replaced with regular thick fabric. True, it will keep its shape worse. Make a small pattern (about 8 cm long) so that the image can be folded in half. Here are some examples.

A funny clip made only from felt with decor. Fastened with a button.

Several pieces of felt are layered on top of each other and complemented by a piece of leather.

Pouch in the form of a pocket. A narrow strap and a button are used for fastening. This felt headphone holder conveniently rolls up into a tube.

Make your favorite character or animal image. Cut a rectangular piece of felt and layer it with small pieces. Everything is held together with glue. The headphone clip itself is made of a piece of felt and elastic.

There are still a lot of options. The main thing is to take a small piece of felt as a basis, come up with a clip and add decor to everything. The easiest way is to cut blanks for clamps using stencils.

Decorative clothespin

A headphone clip can be made from regular paper staples or crab clips. But they don't look too pretty. But if you take a clothespin as a basis and decorate it, it will turn out really great.

We will need:

  • 2 clothespins;
  • Super glue;
  • paints;
  • any decor.

We have previously told you how to decorate clothespins. We recommend adopting one of these techniques.

Glue two clothespins together using glue. Then start decorating. If you decide to varnish your headphone holder, open the clips slightly to prevent sticking.

It is convenient to wrap headphones around this holder. The main thing is not to take paints that stain your hands. Otherwise, the headphones will turn out to be colored.

Knitted

For those who know how to knit, creating such a headphone case will be a simple task. This soft clamp will not only be beautiful, but will also not damage the wires. It can be made in any color and size.

We will need:

  • yarn;
  • decorative button.

It is not at all necessary to knit complex patterns and shapes. A simple triangle or stripe works great. The headphone clip can be secured with a decorative button or miniature badge.

The button hole can be knitted separately or a small loop can be sewn on.

By the way, if you don’t know how to knit, you can cut a similar holder from an old sweater or sock and simply make a trim around the edge.

From a kinder egg

Don't throw away the plastic Kinder Surprise egg - you can easily turn it into a convenient organizer for headphones. To do this you will need paints and a little creative inspiration. Watch this short video tutorial on making your own headphone case.

As you can see, it's quite simple. Add paints of your favorite color, a little decor - your wires will no longer get tangled.

Fabric and cardboard

We have already talked about how a headphone holder can be made from felt. But look how cool covers made from simple fabric look. You just need to choose the right decor.

In the same video master class you will find step-by-step instructions on how to make a headphone organizer from cardboard and plastic covers. This craft looks very stylish. And most importantly, this option is perhaps one of the most convenient to use. Just wrap the wires around it - you don't even need to fold anything.

We hope you enjoyed these ideas. Complete them with your favorite colors, interesting pictures, and unusual designs. It doesn’t matter what you make the holder for your headphones from: felt, leather or simple cardboard – the wires will no longer get tangled, and your bag will have a new stylish accessory.

To prevent the headphones from getting tangled or lost in your bag, it is convenient to put them in a special case. You can put it in your purse or hang it on a carabiner to your bag or a loop on your trouser belt.

Why not make this cute round headphone case with your own hands?

Materials:

  • fabric (small pieces of cotton)
  • lightning
  • lining fabric
  • thin padding polyester
  • metal ring for hanging
  • sewing supplies

Print the template and cut out the patterns.

Cut out all the details from the fabric:

Made from main fabric
1 lap
2 half circles
1 loop for hanging

Made from lining fabric
1 lap
2 half circles

From padding polyester

1 lap
2 half circles

Place the semicircle of lining fabric right side up and place the zipper on top, aligning the top edges:

Now place a semicircle of the main fabric on top with the wrong side up and cover the “sandwich” with a semicircle of padding polyester:

Sew with an allowance of 0.6 cm:

Repeat the same procedure with the other halves of the circle on the other side of the zipper. Trim off excess padding along the seams.

Unfold the resulting workpiece and smooth out the seams:

Place the seams along the zipper on the front side with a 0.3 cm seam allowance.

Now let's make the loop. Take the loop blank, fold the edges inward towards the center and then fold in half. Sew the resulting strip along the edges (allowance 0.3 cm).

Take the upper part blank and secure the zipper with a few stitches at the top at the edge of the circle, open the zipper halfway:

Then fold the strip for the loop in half and stitch it to the edge of the workpiece with a zipper (align the edges of the loop with the edge of the circle, the loop is directed towards the center of the workpiece):

Let's assemble the lower part of the case - place a circle of lining fabric with the wrong side up, a circle of padding polyester on top and cover with the main fabric, right side out:

We place the circle on the blank with a zipper - the main fabric to the zipper, the lining fabric to the outside:

Now we sew the entire structure along the entire length of the circumference with an allowance of 0.9-1 cm. In the process of sewing in a circle, the fabric will begin to wrinkle a little, so sew slowly, raise the presser foot every few stitches (the needle at this time should be in the lower position, in fabric) and straighten the wrinkles by carefully turning the product.

As you pass the zipper, stop, raise the presser foot (with the needle recessed in the fabric) and turn the project 180 degrees, sew the zipper again, raise the foot again and turn the product again, returning to the starting point, then sew further around the circle ( do this on both sides of the zipper). This procedure will additionally secure the zipper, because we will trim off its excess part.

To prevent the seams from being too thick, you need to trim off the excess padding polyester - bend the edges of the main and lining fabric and carefully cut the padding polyester with small scissors as close to the seam as possible.

Now we cut off the allowances, ideally with curly scissors. Let's leave allowances of approximately 0.4-0.5 cm.

Turn the product right side out and straighten it well.

And we sew along the perimeter of the circle with an allowance of 0.6 cm. Start sewing from one edge of the zipper to the other. There is no need to sew along the zipper itself, this way the cover will look neater. Pull the tails of the threads inside the case, tie neat knots and cut the threads.

Unfortunately, headphones get tangled and broken quite often. But this is if you carry them in a bag or pocket. And if you sew a special case for your headphones, they can last much longer. I suggest sewing a heart-shaped headphone case.

9. Sew around the edges of the hearts with a zigzag stitch.

10. Turn out the cover.

11. Cut out a small heart from lilac felt and sew it to the cover. Sew a pink heart button on top. Attach a white cord to the zipper and tie knots at the ends of the lace.

Description of work:

As seen, making a headphone case with your own hands is very simple.

Denim holder

A cover in the shape of a cat can be made from any material that is in the apartment. In this version, denim material was used, although it can be easily replaced with leather, felt or other dense material. You won't need much of it.

Then you need to find a small piece of scarlet or pink fabric. To sew an unusual headphone case yourself without a zipper, you will need to take cardboard or an old plastic card, a few beads, a regular button and a pencil.

On paper, you will need to create a pattern in the shape of a cat (it could be a cat); in addition, you will need a small pattern of a tongue. The height of the case should be about 9 cm.

Description of work:

  1. It is necessary to cut out 2 parts of the body from the fabric, as well as two elements of the tongue (one denim, the other made of red material). Use a pencil to mark the line and the area where you can insert the tongue. There you need to create an incision with scissors or a knife.
  2. The two parts of the tongue will have to be sewn together and turned to the outside. The mouth area needs to be covered with black thread and the finished tongue sewn there. After this, you will need to embroider the animal’s face and sew small beads or buttons onto the eyes.
  3. You need to sew a button to the body and the inside of the tongue: the wiring from the headphones should fit under the tongue. Then the part in the shape of the cat’s body will need to be made from cardboard or plastic card. It should be smaller than the fabric base and not reach the seam by only 1.5 cm. The product is almost ready, all that remains is to fold all the elements and sew them along the marked line.

That's it, the job is finished.

In the same way, you can make a headphone case from felt with your own hands.

Every modern person can no longer imagine his life without gadgets and his favorite music on his phone, which accompanies us everywhere. At the same time, you want everything in your bag to be neat and to be able to find your headphones without much difficulty.

DIY accessories - an original and stylish gift

So that they are always in their place and do not cling to anything, you can buy a small handbag. Of course, it is often included with the purchase, but you really want to have a unique item. It’s easy to sew headphone cases with your own hands; in this case, you can choose your own original shape and favorite color scheme. In addition, such a craft can be a wonderful surprise for a loved one who will appreciate a handmade gift.

Holder made of denim material

A cover in the shape of a cat is sewn from any material that is in the house. In this case, denim was used, although it can easily be replaced with leather, felt or other dense material; not much of it will be needed. Additionally, you need to find a small piece of red or pink fabric.

To sew a unique case for headphones with your own hands without a zipper, you additionally need to prepare cardboard or an old plastic card, a couple of beads, a simple button and a pencil.

A pattern is made on paper in the shape of a cat (it can be another animal); in addition, a small pattern of the tongue is needed. The height of the cover should be about 9 cm.

Even a novice craftsman can sew headphone cases with his own hands. You need to cut out two parts of the body from the fabric, as well as two parts of the tongue (one denim and the other made of red fabric). Use a pencil to mark the future line and the place where the tongue will be inserted. There you need to make a cut with scissors or a paper knife.

The two parts of the tongue are stitched together and turned right side out. The mouth area is covered with black thread and the finished tongue is sewn there. Next, you need to embroider the cat’s face and sew small beads or buttons onto the eyes.

A button is sewn to the body and the inside of the tongue: a rolled up headphone wire should fit under the tongue. Now another part in the form of a cat’s body needs to be cut out of a plastic card. It should be smaller than the fabric base and not reach the seam by about half a centimeter. The product is almost ready, all that remains is to fold all the parts and sew them along the intended line.

Using a similar principle, you can make funny animal holders from felt. In this case, the finished parts are sewn with a buttonhole stitch using bright threads. The eyes and tongue can also be cut from felt or leatherette.

Stylish DIY leather headphone cases

To work you will need a piece of leather, glue, strong threads, a strong needle and a pencil with a piece of paper for the pattern.

When thinking about how to make a headphone case with your own hands quickly and beautifully, first of all you should take care of the pattern. The case can be of absolutely any shape, the main thing is that the headphones fit inside without any problems; an excellent choice is a round-shaped accessory.

A paper pattern in the form of a circle is placed on a piece of leather and traced with a pen. You need to make two identical parts, after which one of them is cut in half. This must be done extremely carefully, since all the cuts will be on the front side.

The finished elements are glued with the wrong side to the felt using Moment glue. You need to wait until the parts dry and cut them out. Now all the parts are sewn together, but before that the free edges are processed with a buttonhole stitch. The knots are hidden between the leather and the felt, the threads must be pulled tight, but not overtightened, all stitches must be the same size and placed parallel to each other.

When the free edge of the parts is stitched, two semicircles are placed on the round part so that they match perfectly. Leather elements cannot be basted, as puncture marks remain, so everything must be stitched clean right away. When sewing elements together, you can additionally use beads for decoration (put a bead on each stitch). Several seams can be made near the connection of the upper parts. In this way, the cover is stitched around the entire perimeter and the thread is secured on the felt side.

DIY headphone cases are easy and quick to make, and they help you keep your bag organized: your headphones will always be in their place and will never get tangled.
